Salaam y’all! So I ended up with a broken foot Alhamdullilah! Crazy story…I went to pick up a washer from a Craigslist post. It was at night. I was on the phone with my ranch team. So I suppose a little distracted but you know multitasking is how most of us roll… I get to the location and see that the apartment is up some stairs. I wasn’t expecting this but really don’t think much of it. The guy who posted meets me at the stairs and I follow him into this apartment… The apartment is basically empty and he’s telling me the washer is over here in another room. I see a few more guys come out and I’m thinking ok this doesn’t look good… I play it cool and walk over to take a look at the washer. I come up with some parting words and try to casually see my way out… The guy starts saying wait and at this point I’m out of the apartment and go bolting down the stairs as fast as I can. These guys start chasing me so I jump from a flight of stairs and land on the sidewalk… It was a close call but Alhamdullilah (all praise and thanks to God) I managed to get away. With a broken foot… When the police arrived of course the guys were gone. I gave the officers the description of the fellows and they confirmed that it was a crooked scheme and these same robbers have done the same thing before. Thank God I didn’t get robbed or worse.
